Her Suit: Verebics Ágnes at MissionArt Galéria

In her latest exhibition Hairy Gang at MissionArt Galéria, Verebics Ági sheds the constricts of bondage and latex from much of her previous work to embrace her inner hippy. While still focusing on the shrouded human body, she now seemingly ironically obscures her bodies with an extension of itself in the form of synthetic tresses of human hair.  Her extreme au natural photos evoke the work of cult 1970s cartoonist Gilbert Shelton as an even more hirsute human version of Phineas from the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.

Overall, the exhibition injects a bit of humor into the more serious discussion of body image and the societal pressures that can often lead to extreme physical manipulations.
